Laura has experience in domestic and international tax consulting, advising companies on the analysis and compliance of their tax obligations in Mexico. Her practice has focused on corporate income tax and value added tax matters, as well as on the analysis of tax implications arising from corporate transactions and domestic and cross-border operations.

She has participated in corporate restructuring, mergers, acquisitions and reorganization projects, as well as in the analysis of double taxation treaties and other international tax matters. She also has experience in proceedings before the Mexican tax authorities, including tax audits and information requests, tax refund claims and the preparation of supporting documentation.

Prior to joining Mijares, Laura was part of EY Mexico’s International Tax and Transaction Services practice, where she participated in tax consulting and compliance projects for domestic and multinational companies.

Laura holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Universidad Panamericana and is currently pursuing a Law Degree at Universidad del Valle de México.
