Paulina is a distinguished expert in environmental law, energy and climate public policy, with over twenty years of experience developing and implementing sustainability, energy transition, and circular economy strategies in Mexico and Latin America. 

She has advised companies, international organizations, and governmental  entities on the development of environmental public policy, conducted assessments and provided legal advice to install green infrastructure involving sectors such as Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy, Hydrogen, Waste, Transportation, Minning, among others. She has held leadership roles at boutique law firms and international consulting companies such as Environmental Resources Management (ERM), and Ecosecurities. She also collaborated with Walmart de México y Centroamérica, where she designed and implemented award-winning initiatives for designing strategies for closed loop cycle for products that reduced environmental impacts and achieved emission reductions and implemented management systems to improve  regulatory compliance. 

Her experience includes coordinating international projects, securing funding for climate startups, and representing Mexico in multilateral forums on environmental and energy matters. Paulina is recognized for her ability to integrate legal, technical, and strategic perspectives to promote innovative solutions for sustainability and environmental practice.

On September 8, 2025, the President of Mexico sent to the House of Representatives her amendment proposals for fiscal year 2026 (the "Bill"), which include: (I) Federal Revenue Law ("FRL"), (II) Federal Fiscal Code ("FFC"), (III) Excise Tax Law ("ETL") and (IV) Federal Duties Law ("FDL"). It should be noted that, as further discussed, the FRL contains amendments to the Income Tax Law ("ITL") and the Value Added Tax Law ("VATL").

On August 19, 2025, Banco Multiva, S.A., Institución de Banca Múltiple, Grupo Financiero Multiva (Multiva) entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the trust and common representative business of CIBanco, S.A., Institución de Banca Múltiple (CIBanco). The transaction is the result of a competitive process supervised by the Institute for the Protection of Bank Savings (IPAB), the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP), and the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV).
