In antitrust, Elian has actively participated in some of the Firm's most significant transactions, representing domestic and international clients in all stages of proceedings before the IFT and COFECE, now the National Antitrust Commission. She has extensive experience in merger proceedings, investigations into monopolistic practices, and immunity programs. She is highly specialized in litigation matters involving challenges to sanctions related to alleged anti-competitive practices and prohibited mergers, consistently obtaining favorable results for his clients before the specialized courts in this area.

In data protection, she has a solid and specialized track record, regularly advising national and international organizations, as well as foreign law firms, on a wide range of issues including regulatory compliance, design and implementation of privacy notices, internal policies and procedures, handling of ARCO rights requests, incident and security breach management, national and international data transfers, and the comprehensive and day-to-day handling of personal data, including sensitive data and employee data. She also has significant experience in proceedings before the relevant regulator and in challenging sanctions in this area before specialized courts.

In addition, she has represented various clients of the Firm in amparo proceedings, mainly in constitutional and administrative matters, as well as in federal and local contentious-administrative proceedings. Her practice includes handling matters before administrative, data protection, financial, energy, tax, environmental, consumer protection, and aeronautical authorities.

On May 11, 2026, the Ministry of Energy ("SENER" per its acronym in Spanish) published the "Second Request for Proposals for the priority handling of requests for power generation permits and Interconnection to the National Electric System, aligned with Binding Planning" (the "Second RfP"). This Second RfP continues the process initiated with the first request for proposals issued on October 17, 2025 (the "First RfP"), which resulted in the granting of 18 power generation permits by the National Energy Commission ("CNE").

On May 1, 2026, an amendment to the Federal Labor Law (“FLL”) regarding working hours (the “Amendment”) was published in the Official Gazette of the Federation. In general terms, the Amendment introduces three key changes: the gradual reduction of the weekly working schedule to 40 hours, new rules regarding overtime, and the employer’s obligation to maintain an electronic timekeeping record.
