Santiago has broad experience in different types of litigation, civil, commercial and amparo, primarily in judicial rehabilitation of past due portfolio, derived from his experience as Legal Specialist in the Financial and Contentious Area for a State Trust Fund, second-tier bank, where he was responsible for representing and delivering direct attention to different types of proceedings, and from his experience as Associate at the firm Bufete Rocha, S.C. where he provided direct attention to civil, family and commercial law proceedings.

Modification to tariffs imposed by the United States of America
On February 20, in a landmark decision on the separation of powers with significant implications for international trade, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) does not authorize the President to impose tariffs unilaterally, as Congress has not clearly delegated its fundamental tax and tariff powers to the Executive Branch through that law.
